Thanksgiving Moods
On Thanksgiving me and my model Helen decided to use those limited fall amenities that still exist in Southern California, namely fallen leaves.

I can see a definite improvement with that new 20D. Number 2 is outstanding.
Muchas gracias, amigo!
Cheers!
Great use of the leaves. The compositions are great

Congrats with colorful autumn photos! I like them. Very beautiful 'model'!
Must say: for me the 'pokazatel' of relax'ness of the model is his / her lower eyelid... It must be without tension...
I wait until this happen and only then start shooting. I talk, laugh... and wait...
I ask him/her to shake his/her head for relaxation... This helps...
Poka,
Yuri
I wanted to do that for so long:-)
Happy Holidays!
Spasibo, dru'g!
It's an interesting comment.
So, from your point of view, is she tense or relaxed?
I don't think I have much to compare to, let alone I've seen here almost every day for 13+ years:-)
Cheers!
Definetly a nice set of shots!

I must admit that even though we know each other well and long enough, every time it takes anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes to "get into the groove".. I guess it's just natural for any performer and this time gets shorter along with the skills being aquired..
Cheers!
By any chance you got any models/fashion shows you can spare/share ;-)?
Perhaps the act of being burried in the leaves was distracting from the camera.
Appreciate it!
About the being distracted - no, I don't think so.
The pile of leaves I racked from all of the front yard was *maybe* 4 ft wide, it was merely a "prop", as were the jacket and the scarf: don't forget, in SoCal November is quite a warm month, we had about 80 that day:-) Hence the whole scene was carefully staged, therefore it was hard to forget about the camera, which happened to be the primary purpose of why all this was assembled:-)
Cheers!

The camera doesn't make a bit of difference. All of them can record what you are seeing. But, you have to SEE." - Ernst Haas
Here is the verdict: outstanding!
