Invasion of the bubble snatchers

Shot these this morning with the set-up shown below. Canon 5DMk2, Canon 100mmL macro with 13mm ext tube. I placed a sheet of safety glass on a chair and sprinkled some olive oil and blue food dye and mixed it with a pointed stick. The flash on the floor is shining on some coloured wrapping paper to give colour. The studio flash head at the top is for the top light. The area shot is about 1.5 inches, so it's about 1:1 ratio.
I did quite a lot of post-processing in RAW edit to boost the colours and clarity.
If trying this yourself, make sure you use toughened safety glass with smoothed edges. You can get it cheaply from a local glazier (ask them to smooth the edges). Mine was £5. And don't let any kids in the room when you shoot.
