So who was crazy enough to get up early.

I went to Circuit City to get the 199.99 out the door laptop. But by the time I got there at 4:20 am they were all gone. Seeing as this made me cranky and I wanted to get a new laptop as this one is 4+ years old and I'm starting to have a fair amount of problems with the battery and the screen has a ghost spot, plus the old celeron 1.1 processor with a 233fsb is soooo slow. So I settled for going to compusa and getting the 299.99 after rebates (I hate rebates (523.79 including tax out the door 180.00 in mail in rebates)). Shouldn't have bought it.

Sun doesn't start coming up till bout 7:30 am these days. And its freaking cold out. -1 degree's f (not c) according to the news. Unlike the other people I stood outside for 2 minutes. I found out the first places was out of the laptop I wanted already so I went to the second place and they had their doors open early.

Wow that late...our sun rose at 4.45 this morning.

I wait for it each day with my coffee & a friendly neighbourhood black cat that has no tail. The conversation is light.....i always want to ask him what happened to his tail but i can never find the right moment to broach the topic.

I think it would ruin our relationship so i leave it alone.

You are probably better off. That Curcuit City deal was tied to a 1 year AOL contract.

Same thing at compusa but I have to keep aol for troubleshooting problems on clients computers so I am just killing my old account today since I signed up for the new one. Saved $250 for spending the 15 a month I normally would. The circuit city one had better specs but the one I got will do for what I need.

Around that time i was sound asleep! I felt great when i woke up... a little full of the thanksgiving dinner, however. :D

I think it's amazing how commercialized thanksgiving has gotten. Opening stores a 5 am (or even earlier) so that people can satisfy their buying frenzies...? Even fights broke out between shoppers. I just think it's a little bit sad.... But it fits in really well, into the 'consume (even) more' society.
I can't grasp the notion of time.

When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
    in two billion years,
    all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"
