Under the Tree

I have been in a photographic slump lately. I haven't been shooting much and I haven't really been happy with what I have ended up with. Partly I think due to stressing over my portfolio assessments etc.

Anyway today I went out and stood under this tree in my yard that I have taken alot of photos of with B&W film and don't ask me why, something about the leaves I just find pleasing.

These are two that I got today that I am looking for feedback on, because I can't make up my mind if they are boring or not. So please be honest.:D

That second shot is almost Escheresque. In the first, the light is pleasing.
Neither is boring. But then neither is overly compelling either.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
