Hey y'all,

I signed up on Friday to attend the Lightstalkers photography workshop in Scotland May 13 - 18. The link is below. I was wondering about a few things:
1. If any others from the DGrin community were interested in going? It would be an interesting place to meet up with a few of my virtual friends?
2. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do afterwards? I figure that once the workshops concludes, I'll take a few more days to explore more of Europe. Any suggestions on must see places? I'm currently leaning toward Italy but Ireland, Amsterdam, and Switzerland are high on the list as well. This is my first trip over there and I'll be on my own. :D
3. Any of our DGrin members in Europe and would possible like to meetup?

Here's the link to the workshop... http://www.lightstalkersscotland.com/bookings/highland-photography-workshops/lightstalker-photo-tour

Thanks!

Travis

From Inverness, I'd take the Caledonian Sleeper (http://www.scotrail.co.uk/caledoniansleeper) to London and go from there. London is a fantastic city if you've never been over that way and England has way more than enough to keep you occupied. From London, Europe is very accessible. Inverness and several of these places on that list are fairly far north in Scotland, and they are a good trip away from London let alone the rest of Europe. It's faster to fly, but sometimes more convenient and fun to take the train. Do Europe on your own terms the way that you want to do it, but don't discount London and England.

If you're still up for more scenics after a week in Scotland, you might want to check out Wales or Ireland. Both would provide more than enough as well.

Thank you Karl! I have a friend in Cambridge that I'm going to visit after workshop. I'm leaning more now to staying in the UK and exploring a bit. I appreciate the recommendation.

Hi Travis, If you haven't had enough of mountains after a week in Scotland - try the Lake District in NW UK.

    Cheers, Richard.
