One question. What would the shot say, how would it be interpreted without the selective colour? If the composition holds up either in full glorious colour or gritty B&W (whatever your preference) then I'd think about how I'd like to enhance the shot.
All that said, I think there's a Challenge currently running for selective colour. You might want to enter.
And thank you for challenging me on this shot...you're right, it doesn't work without the selective colour. It was just too busy for the eye to comfortably find a subject - my subject - my girl with the yellow umbrella. I had to resort to parlour tricks.
Now that being said, I really liked the shot with the colour...but of course I'm horribly biased...I wanted it to work.
Maybe I will enter it in the challenge...thanks for the nudges all around!
