    I like the first of these best. The selective colour that you've added is not so obvious as to be cliche and I think it makes the image more interesting.

    I would say that the second two don't really work that well as a black and white compositions as a starting point - your subjects are birds known for their brilliant colour - why not just shoot them in colour?

    I think for the selective colour thing to work well, the image has to be a great black and white image that gets even better with your selective colour choice...my opinion obviously.

    I like the geese best also. I like how it blends up that you barely notice when all of a sudden it is B&W.

    I like #3 best. The first one doesn't isolate well enough for me. The second one is great to look at , but a bit too confusing.
