Surreal Yellowstone

Yellowstone presents many faces. Some of the geo-thermal based features are other-worldly, to say the least.
1. Super-heated steam and liquids sprout from all over this rocky hillside.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thanks for your support, Joel. I don't know when you plan to go back to Yellowstone but I've already booked my trip for next Summer. I'm hooked on that place.
Take care,
Tom
Thanks for looking in, Eric. I really appreciate it. I wish I could post pictures 3 feet by 2 feet. That's about the only way to do Yellowstone justice.
Stay safe, my friend,
Tom

Full access to the park is limited to a rather short timeframe....running from around mid-June to early October. The Winter closing to most of the park can vary somewhat, depending on what weather they're getting. A quick check with park officials can give you a better expectation of those times. I go late June, early July because I want to have access to the whole park. I'd love to go in the Winter to experience that aspect of it but there's a whole lot of the area you can't travel during that time.
When you go...and it's Summer....make sure you allow for time to leave the park on the north end and take an excursion on the Beartooth Hwy. which runs up into Montana. It's one of the most breathtaking experiences I've ever had. A short side-trip over to Cody, Wyoming is also well worth it.
Thanks for looking in,
Tom

Thanks for a glimps into areas of Yellowstone a lot of folks don't get to see
Hey, brother. Many thanks for the visit.
Yea, I hiked my fanny off. Sadly, that's the gospel....I look around now and it's gone. Don't know where it went. I think I lost it on my way up Mt. Washburn. When you have someone like Darlene
right on your heels, threatening to bull whip you silly if you miss a beat.....well, you just lower your head and dig in.
Take care,
Tom
