Questions about Domain

I'm thinking about getting a .com address because no one can ever remember the .smugmug part of my address. But I have a couple of questions:

1. Will my address re-direct for anyone who has it book marked? Say they have me book marked as XYZ.smugmug.com and I change it to PDQ.com will they still get directed to my page? I have given my address to so many people I don't even know, and I want them to be able to find me.

2. Will my name change on comments I make on others photos? I'm trying to make friends on here, and I don't want them to suddenly not know who the heck I am. The name I use now is not available as a .com or a .anything in any variation, so I'm going to have to go with something entirely different. But I'd like to keep my page and my name the same.

If you decide to use a custom domain name for your site, your XYZ.smugmug.com address will still continue to work. The XYZ address won't redirect to your custom domain, but your site would be accessible under XYZ.smugmug.com and/or PDQ.com. Galleries will always use the custom domain address, though. Any links to your site that are currently floating around on the internet will still continue to work after setting up a new custom domain name for your site.

Your site nickname (which is what appears when you leave comments) will not change when you add a custom domain name
