Hi Y'all,

I've been trying to improve my BIFs with the 500mm so i practised on some least terns. Their body length is 9 inches and their wingspread is 20 inches. They move rather fast so it was a good workout.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Way to swing a 500mm or did you have it on your Gimbal ??

Either way good tracking, and head ons are even tougher :D

Great shots Harry. I especially like the last one, he looks like hes coming out of my screen.

The only thing I might change is to crop of a bit of the excess blue.

Thanks Ben. I had my rig on the Gitzo 1325 and Wimberly head. There is no way I could have swung the 500 around by hand and have gotten these shots. I'm getting used to the wimberly now and doing better with flight shots on it. I used the 500 w/o a TC to keep the AF performance as fast as possible.

Thanks Steve. I considered more cropping but didn't want to crop out too much as I'm only working with 4.1 MP.
