Trouble Uploading.

Trying to upload to my Smugmug for the first time in quite a while.

Using the plug-in in Lightroom 4, it does create a new gallery, then the progress bar moves along slowly, but when it reached the end I get a pop up with the message;

"The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response."

followed by a list of all the files I tried to upload. Check Smugmug and the new gallery is there, but with no photos.

So next I exported from LR to my desktop and tried to upload using Smugmug's uploader. After a few minutes all the files listed just say "upload failed".

So finally I saved them to a flash drive and uploaded them (using Smugmug's uploader) from my laptop successfully.

So... I conclude that there is something (a setting, or problem) on my desktop preventing me from uploading. But I have no clue here.

Any help?

    It's possible that your ISP, or a firewall may be not handling our calls properly when uploading from LR. Try this and see if this helps at all:

    1) In LR, click File > Plugin Manager
    2) Select the SmugMug plugin
    3) Try changing the upload method here from "PUT" to "POST", and click Done.
    4) Try your upload again.

    Any luck? If you're still having problem after trying that, my best guess would be that you have some security software or firewall in place that may be blocking the upload attempt via LR. If you are still struggling, please email the support heroes, let us know which security software you are using on this computer, and we'll walk you through some further troubleshooting to see if we can help get that going for you again.

    Hope this helps!

    Can you also paste a link to the gallery in question so we can take a look at the files? I am leaning towards computer/firewall/security software since you cannot upload via the SmugMug uploader either.

    Also, are you using a Mac or PC?
