Romantic Island Getaway

It's that time of year in Southwest Florida. The birds are nesting, The plumage can be so beautiful. I spent the better part of the weekend watching and photographing from my pontoon boat.
1) A pair of Great Egrets.


2) A Pair of GBH doing the courting dance.


3) Its a shame, the female was obstructed from view. But it was kind of majical to witness it in the wild.

Thanks Dennis, I think we will start to see chicks in about 4 to 6 weeks. We may already have some Great Blues, but they nest so high, its hard to see them.
