When I look at my website stats, why is it that I always get the most hits from someplace creepy, or the strangest google searches!

Currently it seems that the people at a Russian dating site really like my nature photography :rofl (or are somehow stealing my photos :scratch)

Can you forward me those Russian dating website URLs? I need them for "research" purposes :)

Can you send me a link to specific photos or galleries that seem to be getting the strangest crop of visits?

    Thanks!

    Todd,

In general, you can't exclude specific sites from being able to embed your photos. The only thing you could do is to disable "external links" in the gallery settings of a gallery. That way the photos wouldn't show embedded on other sites.
Note that is a global setting and would also prevent you from embedding your photos in a blog or forum.

The referrers tab in your stats may give you more details on specific sites if you click on the hit number next to the site address. That may give you specific pages your photos are embedded on, but dependng on the site, there may be no additional details.

Personally, I do see some of my photos embedded on certain forums where folks are collecting photos for different subjects.

I see photo's from my own lens that I've posted on my motorcycle blog get linked to the wildest places.. with no attribution of course. I even see them reposted in other motorcycle blogs as though they are property of that blog. Usually though that's in another language so I don't hammer them since there is a language barrier. It's the nature of the web.
