Same photos, different settings?

I shoot many events at the same venue, and I always have to upload two, and often, three sets of the exact same photos:
A public gallery, protection enabled, no password, where event attendees can view the photos and (hopefully!) purchase prints and downloads.
A password-protected gallery, protection disabled, where my client (the venue) can view and download photos for their marketing purposes.
Another password-protected gallery with a differenct password for the event organizer or host.
Not only is it time-consuming to upload several hundred of the same full-resolution photos three times, I hate that I'm using three times the server space that I should need.
This would be simple if Smart Galleries could have their own settings instead of always inheriting the settings of the original gallery.
Is there a way to have three galleries, each with their own settings, accessing the same set of photos?
Thanks!
