Slideshow button is black

Hello...

I have seen "Slideshow" bottom has been blacked out and I don't understand the reason. Sometime it works while sometimes its back out.

Hi Vishal,

It sounds like you may be using IE10. If so make sure you're not in Unity mode. Flash does not work.
There are known issues with IE10 and the slideshow button. Our engineers are aware of the problem.

Disable Unity Mode - How to?
Just googled but am stumped on whether disabling Unity is a good or bad thing to do and how to actually do it if it is OK. Recommendations? If recommended, how to I actually disable that mode?

Problem is that we have no control over the settings our viewers are using - assuming Unity mode is a browser setting or a computer setting.

Can we get a status on this? IE10 is the browser installed by default with Windows 8. I'd like to think that viewers who choose to use this browser will see my site as it is intended to be seen, not with a black button that doesn't give a clue as to function (without clicking on it).

Bump!

The slideshow button is still black in IE10. This browser comes installed on all new Windows 8 computers. As much as you don't like IE it is still a player out there. I hate the fact that my site has a black hole on the page for viewers who choose to use IE10.

Can we get a status on this please?

I have got the same problem with IE10 and I am with windows 7. No issue if using google chrome. I have spoken to a support hero tonight and he said it is on their radar to fix but not a priority as other more pressing issues. If this has been known about for afew months now I feel as we pay for our sites this issue should be fixed much quicker and someone should now be doing something. Surely the people we pay our money to should not just listen but should also act.

Please can this be fixed by the end of April 2013 ?

I find it disturbing to find that the smug support team is saying this is not a priority. I would hope that this is high on your must fix quickly list - it is a clear defect as opposed to something we just wish would be changed. A blank black space on a web page gives a very unprofessional look to the site. It's not as jarring on a site with a dark background as it is on sites with light backgrounds - but it still looks like crap.

MakeMeShutter posted a clear explanation (with screen shots) in Baldy's thread on the new X4 & X5 display sizes, here.

Please - can we get a real status on this, and hopefully a fast fix?
