An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

It's great seeing some other skiing shots here. It's such a basic thing but nice job on the exposure in these but especially #1. Mixed shade and sun on the snow is my least favorite condition and one I try to avoid whenever I can. Looking at these it's hard to believe these are kids. Love the grab in #3.

I know you can't always control it, but watch for the background clutter. Poor guy in #5 had his head cut off with the ski...Was there a different jump spot or a different angle that would have allowed you to not have the workers in the BG? Maybe moving down the hill slightly?

Thanks! That was the second of two jumps on the course. As far as I could tell this was the best spot I could get for taking pics, considering spectators and the angle of the sun. Also at a previous mogul event I got a great head-on shot of my son off the jump, so I wanted a side shot this time. I agree the coaches in the bg aren't ideal, but I don't mind.

Love that head-on shot of your son. By the way, I'm jealous of your blue skies. Every race day so far this year has been snowy...
