I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

In B&W, bleak can be a good thing.

Thanks for the visit, David. Yea, B&W was the order of the day with this scene. Damn, it was cold out.

Nice one Tom..... Just-right, dramatic subjects with very esthetic branching and the gloomy sky is the perfect background. I might like to see a bit more of the bases of the trees.
    Cold?.... In FL? (I assume) C'mon... ;-)

    Best,
    Eric

Nice, reminds me that people can still take photos this time of the year its -25 with the windchill down my way. This is a great shot!

    Thanks for the look-see, Eric.

I would also have prefered to see more of the base of the tress. Unfortunately, they were all behind this big mound....I showed every square inch of them that I could. I didn't figure that showing any of the mound would have added anything to the shot.

This scene was right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, near Blowing Rock, N.C. The temperature at the time of the shot was 15 degrees. I'm kind of used to that Winter weather up there, as I'm up there so often, but I wasn't dressed to be out shooting. Damn near froze.

    Take care my friend,

    Tom
