mother-in-law found a chocolate lab stray puppy in her yard yesterday. She brought it over to our place. He was very smelly. Anyway we have posted some signs and took him to the vet and there was no RF ID chip, no collar, etc. Wife wants to keep him. He is very pleasant and well mannered so far (and hungry..we fed him some cat food at 1st). Meet Max. :D

Also 1st shots with the new d600.

    Daniel...

You just brightened up my day. Don't want to be a downer but we just got back from the vet. We had to euthanize our 12 year old lab Addison. She woke up really weak and had very labored breathing. Turned out her heart was giving out. The fact you're going to give this dog a happy and loving home really makes me feel better. Made me start crying again but definitely cheered me up. Be god to that dog. Labs are the best.

    BTW, great pics!

Oh, Alex, SO so sorry <3 I hope Meatball's giving you lots of extra lovin (and you him - dogs grieve too when companions go, especially if they didn't have a chance to smell them goodbye, as it were) Big, big, dog-lovin hugs from here. :cry <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/iloveyou.gif" border="0" alt="" >

Daniel, no catfood. Trust me on this - you will not appreciate what comes out the other end!

As for that puppy, he is GORGEOUS, and awfully well-behaved for a maybe-traumatized lost baby - if you don't keep him in the end, please find him an awesome forever home!!!!

PS Take him in for a pro groom and bath - many groomers (not Petsmart, but private groomers) will be happy to give you a reduced rate (or even FREE) "puppy's first groom" because it ultimately makes their lives so much easier when dogs have been exposed to and taught how to behave on the table. You will make all future groomers (and yourselves!) very happy by starting young!

    ....... Labs are the best.
A truer thing has never been said.... no dis to the Puggies.
So sorry and I know exactly how you may feel - my Billy was 12, a three legged cancer survivor, and more pure of heart than can be imagined.

After the sorrow, I wish peace and fond memories to you and your family.....

Qarik - He looks just right with your family, I hope he gets to live with you.

#3: great tackling form: he's clearly been well coached -- head up and hitting with his shoulder. You've got a linebacker or a db there, I think.
