Ordered pictures from SmugMug - came back with heads chopped off

I ordered my basketball pictures I had taken and they arrived but were not as I had cropped them. Some players were missing their head or the ball was not in the picture, etc.... I think you get the picture. LOL

It obviously has something to do with "cropping" the pictures.

Why is this happening and how can I avoid it happening again when I order pictures through SmugMug?
