Game in San Diego - Army Navy Academy v Horizon (at ANA - the quanset gym).
#5 is 7'2", but #24 has had enough of getting his shots blocked and decides to go over the top. #24 is about 6'4" tall.

taken at iso 1250 and 28 mm(on a 28-300) at f3.5. I am about 4 ft behind the backboard (it's a portable backboard) and the einstein is about 3 ft behind me on a lightstand with head about 8ft off floor level.

I have been taking hoops photos of hs hoops for 5 years or so and never seen (let alone caught) an athlete with his ear at the level of the bottom of the backboard.

and, yes, #5 got more than his share of blocked shots. We lost, but it was a great game to watch (if you call it that when you are shooting the game).

Thats an interesting ceiling. Probably good to bounce off of.

it is a lousy ceiling to bounce off - it is dark and has all those 'anti bounce' sections. It sucks up light.

Hmmm, all our schools have huge trusses, and extra hoops and things, seem like they would not be good to bounce from, so I never tried.
