capture NX 2 going to continue?

Since Google gobbled Capture NX2 do you think they will continue with it? It's been forever since 2 has been out. Do you think there will be a 3 or are they letting it die a slow death?

From what I've read, Capture NX2 was a joint effort between Nikon and Nik. I don't know that Nik ever owned it outright anyway.

That makes no sense from a business standpoint to kill it after purchase.
