We used Christine Meintjes.

I remember when I booked her about 18 months before the wedding that she had 2,000 fans on facebook at the time. Now she's up to 7,000 and just keeps doing more awesome stuff in the photography community down there in South Africa. She runs a wedding blog to showcase SA wedding vendors, hosts Kiki which is a site for photographers helping photographer, and also runs all over the place shooting weddings and offering seminars. She's quite inspirational to me, so booking her was a dream for our wedding. When I first booked her she was a Canon girl, so the only "fall from grace" (I saw this jokingly because she still takes awesome photos) was that sometime before our wedding / after I had booked her, she switched completely to Nikon. But just proof it's the photographer not the camera that makes the photos awesome (her Nikon gear was pretty sweet too lol).
She did an AWESOME job.
Before we started our trash the dress session the day after the wedding, I had her husband Iaan take a photo of me and Christine just because (my hair and makeup wasn't as awesome for the TTD as it was for the wedding day, go see the gallery above for me all super crazy done up!)

It's not a fall from grace, BTW. It's an enlightenment. ;-)

HAHAHA I was totally waiting for someone to say something along those lines (and who better than you to say it :P) I'm not a total Nikon hater, it just isn't for me and I don't have the energy or money to re-invest everything.
Thanks Matt
