I'm a recent addition to the forum, and just barely missed the last challenge, so this will be my first entry.
The challenges with this particular shot were a) getting the right amount of abstraction and b) getting the DOF where I wanted it. Depending on your familiarity with musical instruments, the subject may or may not be obvious, though I think it will be easily identifiable by most. I may try a few more, but I wanted to go ahead and get this out there.

i like the idea and agree that a tad more string in focus would work better.
Take care to line up your camera in the center. Your straight-on view is really at the second string from the left instead of the middle.... if you are looking for middle symmetry.
