Father is daughter, Sara,'s husband. The son then is my grandson: Jackson. He is camera shy. No one knew I was taking this photo, not that I know of. It is raw and very easy to work up, I tried for high key. Had to put more yellow in than I like. They both were a bit on the "pink" side. But just a bit.

Jackson is in Kindergarten, he looks a bit younger here perhaps, he is all boy and very smart! His older sister, Mary Catherine, she loves to have her photo taken, and I will work others up tomorrow or so.

I am almost afraid to ask for advice. Is it toooooo bad? I shoulda followed the LAB tutorial, but I didn't. In fact, I didn't even get out my RGB books for info. Just wanted to get this uploaded and this one out as it is the father, Howard (Mac), it is his birthday tomorrow.
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

Thanks, Andyman, wheew..... I was lucky on a white wall there: I was kind of lucky all the way around there. It was so easy to work up, I had too many choices, that is nerve wracking to me. More so than just a few choices.

    Thanks,

Ginger, that is just a very nice portrait.
I don't think you have to do anything to it - it's fine just as it is. I'm not convinced about using LAB mode for portraits. I use it every day for landscapes but for people shots it is hard work.
Nice looking guys you have in your family.

Very very nice Ginger. Great compostion and clarity. They seem relaxed which is the hardest thing to get.

Submit to the portraits for Chapter 12 practice, why don't you already?
    If not now, when?

Thanks, David, Labs, Rutt and Thomas! Nice words to get up to!

I will put it in the portrait thing, Rutt, what is the addy again?

For the moment though, I am going to drink some coffee, then go out to Caw Caw to see if any birds are there, I think.

That will move this work back a bit, but I feel a strong need to take my camera out to Caw Caw or Magnolia. There may be a bird or two. Certainly it will put me outdoors. It may be totally cloudy. So the weather is a factor.

Looks like rain all day, so who knows. I have discovered a new fact, or rather a forgotten fact, though. Bill expects computer time, too. Smile.

    Have it good!

    Thanks again,

    ginger
