Know how you feel. We got our first truly spectacular ligt show of the season, and it came along with about 7cm of rain and a bout 20 minutes worth of hail....At 3am no less. umph.gif

Can I ask you about shooting LIghtning in the daylight hours by the way, how do you hold the shutter open long enough to get a shot and not totally over expose it?

Still a few more months worth of storm season shooting left yet sit tightthumb.gif

That first one isnt THAT bad anyway...

I just used my polariser to slow it just the tiniest amount + use the smallest ap avail (thus the dust spots) & then just rapid fired with a remote...sooner or later you will get a strike.

7000 stikes & 1 small tornado at the end i just heard on the news.

We have had a couple of small tornados down here too. Though typically, I did not have the camera while I was staring at it.

Christmas Day is usually good for a storm, that is if you can move after lunch. rolleyes1.gif

    Hey Gus,

Don't feel so bad they are much better than my lightning shots.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Mate just had a huge hail storm come through. One storm went north of me & the other south. The stuff chokes the roof gutters & downpipes & the water backs up & goes into the ceilings.

The kids are having a ball anyway. Most have never seen snow so roads covered in ice is just as good.

One storm a day booked for the rest of the week they just said on telly.

(& im home on Dr's orders all week..bird flu i think)
