No critters

I got up this morning looking forward to going to a different area of the nature center.
Well, the temp was 40 F, not to bad, but it was drizzling. Did this stop me? NO.
I got to the park, the drizzle had all but stopped. But the air was thick and foggy.
No critters running around, but I got a couple of shots that I think turned out OK.

I went out with the Canon XT with a Canon 70-300is lens.
I shot at ISO 800 so the pics are a bit grainy. The eagle shots are about 50% crops.

The only animal I saw was a Bald Eagle in a tree, far, far away.

The talk was that coyotes and fox have been seen there often.
I didn't see the critters, but I found one of their tracks. (I'm guessing coyote)

Not much going on. Some days are like that.

The good thing is that I think this area will be much better for egrets and
herons in the summers. So the days wasn't a total waste.

Thanks for looking.
dave.

    Thanks guys.

I shouldn't say this, cause now I won't see one for months, but I see eagles
all the time. At the river, the nature center, there is an eagle nest on the edge
of town that we drive by quite a bit. So the eagle just sitting in a tree is no
big deal. But the hawk from the other got my blood pumping.

I'd like to get some eagle shots while diving for fish, or rodents, but I haven't
been lucky enough to get them.

The tracks are more exciting to me. I haven't seen a coyote in Minnesota, but
    I'd like to.:D

Any day you get an eagle shot is not a wasted day.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Hey Harry. Monday must have been a good day also.:D

Real bad sky for taking pics and the eagles were again, far, far, away.
I had the EV set up for taking gull shots when this one flew in.
I tried to pull out some feather detail, but it didn't work very well.

I had the 70-300is on again, to take gull pics. I wish I'd have had the sigma
    with me.

And to think I was going for gulls, I had french fries and everything. We saw
one stinkin gull, and it wasn't coming close to us.

Like I said, the eagles are everywhere.:D
