Canon 24-70 2.8 v Sigma 24-70 2.8

Has anybody ever had a chance to compare these 2 side by side. I have all kids of glass. I understand you get what you pay for but the Sigma at less than 1/2 the price ? I will shoot with what I have and with what I can afford. I would drop the 2300.00 ish on the Canon, but can Sigma come close to match the Canon quality at such a lower price ?

Good Morning,
I know this is not the Sigma, but here is a link to Photozone.de, testing the Tamron 24-70 2.8 VC on a 5D2. Based on the lab results, along with the samples posted, & at half the price of the Canon, it looks like a no brainer.
