Hi all,
Is anyone aware of an ipad app that will allow emailing of SmugMug photos and videos using the built in email client? I think I have downloaded all of the SmugMug apps, including the official one, and none seem to have this functionality. One lets you save photos to the ipad camera roll, but this doesn't work for videos and is in any case an unnecessary step and not great for computer novices. Similarly, taking a screen dump of the screen when the photo is showing would not work.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Regards
Mike

At the moment the best solution would be to save the photos in the camera roll and then email them using the email app.
Videos cannot be emailed because of the size of the file - most of the email clients will only allow you to send files that are up to 20 MB - video files are much more larger.
Instead of sending the video itself to the customer - try sending a link to the SmugMug gallery, where the video is located.
With regards,
Thanks for that. These are private galleries, so sending a link to the whole gallery wouldn't work. If a link could be sent to just the video or photo that would be almost as good as emailing the actual file, but I guess that's not possible currently?
Regarding the size of videos, we don't need to email full HD videos. The basic iPad ability to email videos would be fine for our purposes (where they are automatically compressed, and if still too large a clip can be sent instead of the whole file).
