I checked the list of themes already made. I don’t think I have something already done but if this is the case, sorry it was a mistake.

All sorts of bridges – real structural bridges, bridges between generations, bridges between cultures…

2. In/From a Child's Eye (Looking at things the way a child would or from their point of view)
3. and one of my favorites that I still think about from past challenges, "Round #29 They're Playing Our Song"

1) Illustrate a cliche - such as Where there's smoke there's fire. You can pick the cliche, or you can ask people to tell you which one they are doing. I think having everyone doing the same one would be more fun. And this one can be recycled.
2) Reflections that are NOT reflections in the water
3) Morning pictures (taken in the early morning). Everyone does sunsets - not so often do they do sunrises. Since you have the exif data, we can't cheat.
"Motion Blur" - I'm sure it is done in many forms but I need to work on my moving object photography
"Editing" - Post two photos - before and after; showing how you improved it with post processing?
has HDR ever been done? We could end up with the ugliest batch of photos ever

altho, this doesn't seem very innovative, I think that mixing in a simple object or color for the topic every now and then gives everyone a breather: trains, orange, glass bottles, pastel, books, etc.

When you come to a door... walk through it.
If it's locked... find an open window.

Repetitive elements - an object or shape repeated in a frame
A year in history: the challenge would be to catch the feeling of a certain decade in history.....for instance, the theme might be 1925.

That's a good one!

I like the morning pictures idea. A good title might be First Light.
Or Invalid - a sick person (could be stretched to an animal) or untrue. I could see a Norman Rockwell style entry for this one.
Or words like Stick that can be both an action or a thing. A challenge title might be "Stick It".
Or Trying - could be troubled or attempting.
Or Missing - could be something missing from the frame, missing someone, an engine misfiring.
I also think it is good to mix up challenging abstract, conceptual themes with more concrete themes, like the current mini of Windows or Doors. I think the concrete themes are more likely to bring in first timers and expand the challenge community.
And I really enjoyed the Cliché theme from a couple of years ago. It really got ideas flowing. And the album cover SP theme. Along those lines, maybe one around making an advertisement for a place or product.
I also really liked the style/processing themes, like the Orton challenge, the Norman Rockwell Style challenge and the Frank Miller Style challenge.
I remember a challenge from another (nameless) photo forum that required the shot to be taken between 4:00 - 5:00 a.m.
I like the "first light" idea MUCH better....
