Hi Y'all,

I am beat. Spent the day with a visiting photographer and I'm download the days 600+ shots before I collapse and get some rest for tomorrow's shoot. I figured I'd make a quick post from some "leftover" shots from some earlier shoots.

just to show you we have other wildlife than birds

a cormorant

a kestrel

an anhinga close-up

When I took the shot I thought "hmm, a red headed duck, I wonder what his official name is"? I went home looked in my Sibley guide and his official name is Redhead. :doh

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

thumb.gifthumb.gif I usually "nuke" my leftovers. I'm guessing this would destroy the pineapple on Ben's pizza..but reheated chilli or spittghetti is most excellent. Nice captures Harry.

    Deer in Florida?
How neat! Probably have squirrels, raccoons too?

I remember the first time we went to Florida and I saw cows under the palm trees -- I nearly laughed my head off. Gotta be a New Yorker to understand that one I suppose.

Harry has there been another deer since I left or is that shot that old?

    Hey Dee,

We got it all down here. The paper this morning had a story of how some of the locals were upset because a bobcat made a meal out of a swan. We got squirrels, otters, racoons, armadillos (aka roadkill), cows (the wetlands are right next to a cattle ranch), panthers, and snowbirds.

Actually we have two deer that are regular visitors to the Wetlands now. This deer shot is one taken in the past few weeks.
