I was at my Daugter's martial art classe yesterday and there was a photographer (from the club) using Express digital darkroom software to create 8X10, 2 5X7 or 6 smaller size pics all on a8X10 sheet. Is there other software out there that are similar but dont cost that much?

Photoshop can do that natively, but I don't have the software with me at work so can't look up exactly how its done. I think its called a index sheet but could be wrong about it. I've used the feature before, its quite handy.

Contact sheet. You want a contact sheet in Photoshop. If you use Apeture, you can also do this through building an album with a custom page size and layout.
