This is Nell, a Boise ballerina. We took these outdoor dance portraits last month when it was about 38 degrees out. It took a few trips to the car heater to keep her going but we ended up with some fun shots.
All natural light.

Love all of 'em except 1, and my problem with that is not photographic, but the conflict between the balletic extended leg and arm, vs the flat NON balletic hand against the wall and the fact that she's off the vertical. (I'm not a dancer so I may be talking total bollocks, but that's how it seems to me). YMMV.

4 is my absolute favorite thumb.gif

Great stuff, Zoomer - and nice to see ya around!!

Four is great, but love the dress in three.

I definitely like the series, but am stunned by everyone picking #4 as their favorite.

With number 4 all I see is an exaggerated left leg size. :cry

Yep, great series, even with the temp... I going to join Ridgetop and claim #3 as my favorite. I do like the attitude in #4, but the dress and ease of pose in #3 wins.

Every bit as strong as what I come to expect from you Mike!

I'm going against popular opinion and picking five as my favorite. Can't say exactly why, but something keeps bringing me back to it and I find myself looking at it longer and exploring it more than the others.

    Really great stuff as usual!

All I see is MUSCLE. She's a dancer, not a fashion model..... :D

Zoomer, these are great! Number 4 is my pick, absolutely awesome. Great expression, stunning figure, darn near perfect lighting and bokeh. I agree with Diva, the woman is an athlete not a waif. Only thing I'm not totally in love with is that close fence post and the edge of the tree. I'd be curious to see them cropped out for the sake of comparison.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment. Appreciate the notes, not sure which one is my favorite...hmmm....guess it depends on which day I am looking at them.
Yes 4 is a lot of attitude...easy to like....it was funny because she was frozen...the camera clicked and she ran like hell to get her coat, laughing all the way. She was a lot of fun.
