keyword woes

Here's my problem: I need to collect over a thousand images of a particular person that I've taken over the past several years. I need to get them in a single unlisted gallery so I can do a decent job of fixing the keywords.
Her first name is Betty, for example, but I've keyworded her as Betty Jones, BJ, Betty, BettyJ, BJReclining, BJDancing, etc, etc.
Problem 1: many of the variations don't show up when I click the button "pick from list". But if I start typing, and have "BJ", then all the variations that start with BJ show up, though none are in "pick from list". It's obvious some of these variations are due to filenames, but others are simply keywords I had initially added.
Solution 1 is simple: allow wildcard or even regular expressions in the keyword field for the smart gallery rules.
but in the meantime, I'd love to hear some other way to change/replace keywords in multiple galleries at once.
(I know, I know, I should have been consistent all along. I do my initial tagging in Lightroom, and I tend to include many keywords that really are for my own private searching, but that's another issue.)

Guessed and found it.
Go to this page and click keyword you want to change.
http://redwoodtwig.smugmug.com/keyword
On the resulting page under tools > edit caption/keyword
Bulk change keyword at top.
You will only see keywords in unlisted and/or passworded galleries when logged in.

Wow! So simple. As soon as I saw that keyword page with all the numbers, I realized I'd seen it once before, but it is huge now.
Unfortunately, that page does not show the tool menu bar. My custom header, the breadcrumb line showing name(nickname) > keywords, and then the keyword grid. No sign of the tool bar that is normally present when I'm logged on. From a page after login, if I go up to the address and type in the "/keyword" after the .com, I get the same thing. My custom header, a breadcrumb line and then the keywords, no buttons or menus visible. and at the bottom of the page it has "logout", indicating I'm logged in.

You'll need to make the changes after you have selected a keyword. The photos for that keyword will be shown, and if you are logged in the tools buttons should be there.
You might want to consider turning filename keywording off. You can find the setting in your account settings, Discovery... Search.

And how many times have I looked at that keyword page and never thought of noticing that each one was a link. I must have done that before, and I'm embarrassed that I just didn't click to see what happened. So many sites these days take you so many strange places if you click too much, but I should have realized SM wouldn't do that.
Yes, definitely need to take filename keywording off to make my task manageable.
Thanks so much, Denise,
