C&C welcome,

My wife likes #2.

I have shot similar images of this section of faux stone in an atrium, before.

:D

In keeping with JAG's requirement that the object not be identifiable, I'm not sure if any of these fit the theme.

As abstracts, I like #2, but would prefer an even closer crop to make it more abstract and less identifiable.

FWIW.... I'm struggling with the "unidentifiable object" thing. I think that "unidentifiable objects" and "abstracts" are two different things.

If you have a chance, I posted a few of my early tries at this. Comments anre welcome and helpful.

So with a further step back, as it were, how about this?

I just re-read the challenge, and I don't think it's necessarily a REQUIREMENT that the object is unidentifiable. I agree, though, that the colors in the last one here are gorgeous, and I like it the best.
