Thanks, Gubbs, me, too........ I have never been able to photograph "trees" until the last few months, and these, especially the first, are, for me, my most successful so far.
My husband was standing right next to me..........but was shocked at how nice the photos look. I did very little post.
thanks again,
ginger (I have at least one more to "do", couldn't do it all last night.)
Thanks, Phil and Erich. Amazing, there were NO birds. I found out that the recent rains made it too deep for the birds. They plan on letting some of the water out soon. Old southern dikes from plantation days.
I too really like the way these trees turned out. The marsh grass in front helps with the affect, I think. The light was coming out, but still soft, just over all nice, and I am pleased that you all like them.
There was a thread started in the Nature forum for November colors, so since there were no birds, I was taking a stab at catching some of the subtle southern fall colors.
I saw this post when it was first out and didn't have time to comment on them like I wanted, so here I am now with the time.
I must say it has been something following your work this year. These last pics really say a lot. Very simple yet highly impacting.
#1 pops. It is a wonderful photo that gives you a 3D look... It is a window you can stare out of and at any moment jump through and escape to another place. Wonderful!
I think I see a gallary in your future. You have a nice collection now.
Once again, don't forget the little people who your stepped on to get to the top.
peace.
