Here are a few that I think fit the challenge. I'd like to know which direction is worth pursuing. Your thoughts would help me decide.

Thanks, chris

    Hi Chris,

From my non experimented eye, 1 and 4 are the ones that talk the much to me.
I like that they are abstract but still show some structure.

I like number 4. It catches my eyes due to the structure. Only I feel that it is too dark.

I like #3... great colors and it fills the frame.

I'd say 4. I can't tell you why, but it catches my eye better than the other three do.

I'm going to go with #3 for similar reasons to the ones PedalGirl stated. It does fill the frame, it's truly abstract, and the colors work well.

I also like #3 the best...I like how it "flows".

Thanks everyone for the input. I'm going to keep working on abstracts of unidentifiable objects! why is this so hard?

    My favorite is #1.

I like the pattern & flow in #1 - a little crop off the top might help it to fill more of the frame.

I like 1 and 4. But I think I would prefer a tighter crop for both.
