White River, Indiana

I tried to capture this river in a new way. Most people drive over or by this river every day and never see any beauty in it. I agree most of it isn't very pretty to look at. I remember this part from when I was a teenager. You have to park your car and climb over a small hill to get to it so not many people know this little spot is just outside of downtown Indianapolis. Anyway, please let me know what you guys think of it.
Thanks!!!

Hi Ron, welcome to the Landscapes forum! clap.gif

Great first post. I like the way you used the dead tree to frame the shot. I think this is one of those times where multiple focal points work. You might want to try setting the white point on this to brighten it up as it's a bit underexposed as it sits. Great image though.

I changed a couple things. I did set the black point but did not like the look when I set the white point. I had to almost set the whites all the way up and didn't like the look at all.
This is actually an HDR image. It was almost too dark for me to even see across to the other side much less focus on anything over there. It really was too dark for three exposures since two of them maxed at 30 seconds so I only had two images to make this out of.

    Thanks for the comments.
    Ron
