    Nice shot of the Owl, and I belive this is a Great Horned Owl.

    Pretty sure if Wave01 said it is an eagle owl it is. I've seen them in the UK, flown by falconers. They are big and their talons are huge, definitely good hunters. Do a search for "eagle owls" or "European Eagle owls" to learn more. The Great Horned owl is sort of the North American equivalent.

    Hi thanks for the comments i am pretty sure its an eagle owl i have looked at the horned owl but i think that is more of a grey colour and found over in the USA

    Boy they sure look the same, and you are right about there colour being diiferent and you are correct with the ID and I was wrong.
