Everything had been working fine for quite some time, but I noticed today that my custom header and footer graphics, while still visible in owner view, have disappeared from my site (doggiemotions.com). I haven't changed anything so I'm baffled. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi Daniel,

The problem is simply that you password protected your "My SmugMug site files" gallery and turned off 'external links'. That prevents your banners from showing to visitors.
There's no need to password protect that gallery as it's already unlisted and doesn't show for visitors.
And disabling external links is not something you want to do on the gallery that you use for content you want to embed on your site or other pages.

You can find both settings in the gallery settings > security&privacy section

    Hi Daniel,

I have checked your homepage and I have found a reason why the footer and header is not displayed. You have password protected your gallery MY SMUGMUG FILES. You will need to turn the password protection off and just make the gallery unlisted. That should solve the issue :)

    Take care!

Thank you both! That's so bizarre because I never password protected any galleries besides 2 client galleries. Also when I went into the MY SMUGMUG FILES settings it had an arbitrary password noted "inthewindow" which is a password that I never would've used. It appears that all of my galleries with password protection have this password.

Is there a direct way to access galleries (to change settings) if none are being displayed on my homepage? Right now I have to enable them on my homepage, edit them and then remember to turn off the gallery option in the Homepage Layout menu. In the meantime visitors would see my homepage with gallery links that I don't want displayed. Thanks!

    Hi Daniel,

There is no way to see the galleries without having the galleries displayed on the homepage. But since your galleries are unlisted, no on besides you should see them during this brief moment.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
