This will be the 1st picture that I'm posted so I figured it might as well be of myself :)
Used a Nikon D60 w/ 18-55mm lens.

    Angelo, you'll find selective coloring might get some, uh, colorful comments. It's sort of been thrown to the wayside.

    The first one in color is better in my opinion anyway! :)

    I like the way the light rims your hoodie in the first one, and the way your head is framed within one of the cinderblocks.

    People say that the lightest thing in the image is what can draw the eye. That seems to be your hands to me and they are prominent from composition. Good color and contrast range in the first which I prefer.

    I started with the same camera lens combo. Hope it serves you well.
