Hawk "clean image"

Hey folks, just one of the red shouldered hawk shots from Myakka. Raindog sent me a copy of "Neat Image" and I was just toying around with it ....before I struggle through the directions. :D So....what do you think? Too noisy still? Oversharpened? Still have a long way to go with this PP and noise reduction stuff.

I was shooting at ISO 400 w/ high shutter speed.......hoping for a BIF shot.. I never got it. Waited forever for this guy to fly off. He flew off the first time as I was looking down at oncoming tourists in an attempt to get out of their way on the boardwalk. Bahstud flew off just as I looked away for a second. Amazingly he made a large circle and came right back to his perch. I waited again forever for that ellusive HIF shot. It was time to go...and darn if I didn't just yank the camera off the monopod, pop the lens cover back on and put the camera in my bag....that the little devil flew right over my darn head. Torture I say..pure torture. :cry :cry Anywho...still working on this "Neat Image' software. Guess I"ll actually have to read the instructions...Grrrrrrr.

ISO 400 isnt that bad and I very seldom need NR.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks John, Dave,Harry & Jeff. Appreciate you taking a look. So...noise isn't a real problem? Seems I've been a bit loud lately. Even caused Ben to have to visit the ear doc. rolleyes1.gif I shoot 400 and 800 ISO a good bit for the birds. Sometimes while cropping..I get some nasty noise. Just wanted to know if this noise reduction software is helping? Still don't know what I'm doing..but that's never stopped me before. eek7.gifumph.gifrolleyes1.gif

Harry... I don't get the 3D thing. It's not working for me. I'll take your word for it. :uhoh :D

    Cheers
