DSS#123 - Do these qualify?

I'm not sure I understand the mandate for this one. I've been
shooting some reflections in office building windows, and I like
this one of the steeple reflections. The distortion is all in the
window reflection, and not added in post.

The problem is it doesn't "fill the frame".

So, I have two of office building exteriors with distortion, that do
fill the frame, but I'm not as keen on them. No distortion added in post.

#2 Fountain and windows

#3 Balconies

I agree. I like the consistent pattern in #3. As to whether or not it fits the theme, I am not so sure. I think the intention was for the shot not to be so identifiable. I think if you make a tighter crop of #3, and remove the doors on the right, it would fit the theme better, IMHO. I would certainly have had a harder time guessing what it was, had the doors not been there, and had you not mentioned about the window reflection.

To me, none of the 3 pics 'satisfy' the points below, because they're all easily identifiable :)

    pp

<<< find creative abstracts with light, texture and really closed up shots so that you cannot necessarily tell what the object is, but rather be drawn to the colors, shapes, lines, textures...

Definitions very slightly, however what we are looking for this round is that the image you submit is not identifiable as direct object, rather concentrate on colors, shapes, lines, textures and such to create your images >>

All 3 have very strong virtues. Really quite nice.
The one not filling the frame well enough is I think.. filling the frame well enough because you have done a great composition for it do so. thumb.gif
Image 2 I love the color and shapes in the windows grid. Crossing lines and angles. Sweet. I could do
without the fountain but I suspect it was in the angle you had to get it just so. Still its a deal breaker for me.
Image 3 Wins it. Excellent result. thumb.gifthumb
I would hazard to say, I think it could be said.. that the press was for some specific items in or out.
For myself I would submit one and let the wind blow the chaff from the wheat :D Could be as
easy as you call it. Useful I hope :D I need to be set more clear myself. I think mine are ??? for exact specs too.
Ok, I see those point are in. Necessarily is an interest word. I think 3 without the people is in solid.
But it is so right leaving them in.
    Nice Work Tony !!!

On second reading of the mandate, I notice that the objective is to present
an image where the viewer cannot immediately discern the subject matter.

I missed that in my first reading, so all three are unqualified.

I think #3 could work. As you can see by thew gallery, not all have followed the unidentifiable aspect. For sure if the real goal of this challenge was to get us to look at things abstactly, then yours fit.
