I have 3 possible entries for DSS#123, but I could use some input, if you would:

#1

#2

And finally,

#3.

I'm not sure which one I favor. Any input?

I like the patterns in 2 and the colors in 3. I think I find the solid vertical bars in both 1 and 3 a bit of distraction and they seem to make your composition a bit out of balance, IMHO. I personally would do a tighter crop to either remove the vertical bars altogether, or to keep them but try to form a more balanced composition.

I like the last one. the colors are great. If a re-shoot is available, I'd minimize the blown out space on the right a bit. it becomes the subject, for me.

Last one, minus the big white whole - maybe you can re-do it...

Thanks for the replies! In the first one, the vertical black bars are trees, and in #3 the big blown out spot is the sun. I may be able to effectively clone some material over the spot, though.

Well, I tried, and couldn't fill the hole in any way that I liked. Besides that, that is the sun, and it's an integral part of the picture. ne_nau.gif
