A friend of mine wanted some portrait shots taken around his house. Well, he wanted other locations, but the weather prevented us from going outside.

The intense sharpening in #8 makes him look plastic-y.

I think that these are decent over all with 2 exceptions. I'm not entirely sure if the pic of the dressed up monkey works when placed next to the disabled gentleman, but I'm not sure what the intent is. My initial gut reaction was that it makes a bit of a crass comparison. Also the bare feet kills number 4 for me.

I'm not a fan of #4 either. Same reason, the bare feet.

Otherwise, I think you have a great variety of shots from which to choose as well. BTW, I chuckled at the monkey in the painting-I didn't see it as derogatory at all.

Thanks. That was his choice for the painting as it is a favorite of his. He also wanted full body shots and chose not wear shoes. Whats the difference with bare feet for this or something at the beach? It is his lifestyle.

I really like the #2. it is saturated with character, imho. Keep finding myself coming back to that one. I agree with others on the sharpening.

Hmm, I actually softened it up a bit, except for the eyes which I sharpened a bit, but then brought back down in an adjustment layer.
