From the Coffin Mountains, looking across Gower Gulch, the Black Mountains and the floor of Death Valley to the Panamint Range in the distance...

Oh yes, it was during a very rare rain too......... lucky me.. :dunno

    It isn't quite this bright normally, and it does look surreal - even on a bad day...
    On this day, I was standing in a very light rain coming down with a bright sun rising behind me lighting up the ski above... it also lit up the yellow sediments of the Furnace Creek formation shown ...

    And finally, this one is rotating even further and looking directly at the Sun; something that you can almost never do in the Desert... Out of the thousands of shots I have taken in Death Valley, this is one of the very, very few I have looking in this direction...

    Terrific compositions of some fantastic scenery, Larry. Processing is a bit over-the-top for my personal taste, but it does make the details pop.
