command line upload?

I'm evaluating SM (moving from picasaweb). I use the google command line tool to upload to picasaweb and it works perfectly for my needs to automate my workflow. The service I move to will need to have a command line uploader, but I can't find any good information on it. I've searched the forums and via google. Making one last attempt by posting here. Thanks.
