Search problems

Hi,

I'm having problems with the following;

When I (admin) are logged in...when I use search a certain celebrity I can find them.
But when a visiter "logs" in by using a password and he or she uses the search box you can't find a thing...what could be the problem??

I hope someone can help me out

I believe you have run into the limitation of search - a viewer can't search in a password-protected gallery. From the help page at http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93291:

Gotchas: Only you, as the account owner, will be able to search for any keywords from unlisted or password-protected galleries.

But I do find it silly that it can't even find galleries.....

Hi Suzette,

From what I can tell this seems to be a bug that's occurring for the site search. If you're in a gallery, it search does work. Only if you're outside of a gallery, the search doesn't seem to work for visitors.
I've reported this to our QA team for further investigation. I'm sorry for any inconvenience.


Denise, you can't see this, but there's only a site password and no gallery passwords. So the site search for visitors that entered the correct password should be available.
