I see on their code page that the Linux binaries uncovered some new bugs. I suspect that it may be another week or so to correct the bugs and make the Windows and Macintosh binaries.

Not sure why, but Windows executables for developmental RawTherapee (RT) are not yet available from the official source.

Fortunately, a former primary RT developer, still active as an experimenter, is posting the 64 bit Windows (Vista/7/8) compiles for RT 4.0.10.36 (the latest fairly stable beta developmental release).

(You do need to uninstall any previous RT installs first.)

I can vouch that the new noise reduction module is significantly improved, and may be the best single-pass NR for color noise (especially for pattern noise and salt-and-pepper color noise), although luminance detail definitely takes a hit at the best settings for color noise. For simple subject matter it can help save a 2-stop underexposure, but for subject matter with lots of fine detail it would only be a partial solution.

While this is not ready for production work, it is stable enough for testing and as a special-purpose tool.
