Really nice, Raggs. Very well composed. I might try to dodge her just a bit.

    Great shot, Rags.

I have an overriding perception that India, Nepal....that whole area, particularly the more developed parts....are nasty, filthy places. Is that the reality of it?

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Yup

But the people are remarkably resilient, jeeze I think there are 14 million people in Delhi (not verified), they're climbing over each other (literally)... yet they are a peaceful lot (Hindus)

It's another planet, just makes you appreciate what we take for granted...

    Thanks for looking in Tom

bd: I'm not clear what dodging & burning means (I'm from the digital age... :D)

But the image is right on the brink of being too saturated, depending upon the paper, I may step back when printing. Thanks for the observation

Selective Lighten and Darken, just a film/darkroom term. The selective part is the important aspect.

In this case I believe B.D. means Lighten the subjects face, a tad (dodge)
Burn of course would mean Darken.

    Hope that helps.

Ohdeargod! Laughing.gif! Yes indeed. There is a "Burn and dodge" tool in photoshop, but I myself prefer to use multiply and screen adjustment layers.

I'll have to try that. She's really dark and it was shot in light rain (tricky for me)

Printed it in PRGB on rag; didn't like them (darker than above), I'll see if I can peddle them at a NY show Fri.

    Thanks for the tips... thumb.gif

Nice composition Rags. Amazing to get her by herself .
