I have been going for more of a painterly look lately... is is live, or is it memorex....? You get the drift (unless i'm dating myself...:rofl)

Went to the beach last weekend to get a certain rock... the sunset wasn't aimed in the POV that I had, so I got these instead.

Terrific composition and colors, Lee. I like the way the water came out, but the rocks look a little blurred.

    2nd Attempt - Improvement
Thanks guys... yes, it was extremely windy... typical for the beach when you want a good shot, no? rolleyes1.gif

I went back through my files and found this shot that turned out sooooo much better, the rocks aren't blurred, I didn't have to do as much processing to acquire the great colors, got some reflections in the sand and turned out an all around better shot while still trying to convey the "it looks like a painting" style i'm going for.

I have a hook on the bottom of my tripod's center column. I usually hook my bag on that to help stabilize it. Doesn't always work-but most of the time it does.

Wow yeah, I do like this better. Inclusion of the foreground sand really improves the shot too. thumb.gif
